The pool officially opened at 9, so we set the alarm for 8:40. We were by the pool by 9. We took in as much sun as we could. Again, the weather was perfect for someone unable to get in the pool. Knowing we had to check out at noon (but having permission form the front desk to store our luggage and take advantage of the pool as long as our little hearts desired), we went back up to the room for cover-ups and to go grab breakfast/lunch at 10:30. Again, I took Ashley to a place I had been before. She opted for a typical Mexican breakfast and a smoothie. I had a tough time deciding, but ended up with a ham and pineapple sandwich (with avocado, sprouts, cheese, lettuce, and some spread) that was amazing and a delicious smoothie. I knew we’d be full for most of the day. And we were.
We walked back to the room, packed up our backpacks, and checked out. Jesús put our pillows and backpacks in storage and we made our way to the beach chairs. We stayed there from noon until 3:30. It was a great day. A jewelry vendor came by (well, many vendors came by, but he was the only one who made a profit) and talked to us for quite awhile. He had a good personality for sales and we had fun talking to him. He even helped us get rid of some other salesmen that just wouldn’t take no for an answer.
We listened to our iPods, we listened to the ocean, and we repeated over and over how great Ashley’s trip had been and how this was the perfect ending to an action packed weekend. At 3:30, we got our belongings and headed via pulmonía to the bus station to buy our tickets to Culiacán. This time they were cheaper, but as seems to be the pattern, we arrived with about 15 seconds to board the bus.
