La Beatríz

I just got another Skype phone call from Beatríz.  She's the oldest of the three teachers from Culiacán.  She's in Delphi, Indiana without a counterpart.  Her two nieces are with her and she has a great teaching situation.

Something about talking to her just makes my day.  Probably part of it has to do with the fact that we speak Spanish and she is patient with me.  She's in a place where probably no one speaks Spanish except her nieces, so she gets a lot of English practice (much like me in reverse).  We caught up on our vacations and life in each place.

It was only about 15 minutes (but it was free!), but it's always nice to catch up.
