Unfortunately I can no longer be a Princesa en Peru since I'll be in Mexico... But I'm beginning to deal with it. I got my information from Fulbright on Friday and read it on the way to Gatlinburg on a retreat with the sophomores at HH. I honestly went back and forth every minute or two from pumped to bummed. I didn't have much information, so it was hard to be too pumped. But now, I've gotten Emily's administrator's packet so let the planning begin. There's so much to do I kinda wonder if it'll all get done. Doctor's appointments, visa applications, pictures to take (of my school and apartment options for my exchange).
I'll be spending from August 2008 through July 2009 in Culiacán, Mexico. I can't get a great map yet, but it seems to be directly south of Arizona (PERFECT!) and the second state form the border. It's also on or at least very near the West coast (but not on the Baja Peninsula). That's convenient as well. And hopefully this will mean I can still take the Mexico mission trip to Cozumel with church!
My exchange partner's name is Yuririra and she's exactly my age (only older by 3 days) and her husband is a bit older and was born ON my birthday. I emailed her today, so I hope to hear back from her soon.
Let the journey begin!
